I noticed some clunking sound when opening our garage door and called Precision Garage Door, a service I have used before. I wanted to forestall a situation where I could not open or close the garage door. This was on a Friday, and they were able to set me up for an appointment on Monday between 8-10am. At 7:30 am I received a call from the technician, Chris Bernard. He said he would arrive about 9:15. He came on time and I explained what I was concerned about. After listening to the door and examining it Chris asked me to come out to the garage. Chris pointed out the problems he saw with the door and made sure that I understood and saw what the problems were that he had discovered. He explained that, the door being 30 years old, it really needed, to be replaced, but he provided several options to ensure that the door would function until we decided to replace it. I have used this company before and have been satisfied with their work and the technicians that came to my home. Chris was very thoughtful and careful and made sure I understood the condition of the garage door without any pressure to choose a particular solution. Since we could not replace the door at this time, we chose to have him replace the springs and rollers. He did not simply replace the springs and rollers but checked all the hinges, replaced and striped screws and cleaned and lubricated the track. I was very impressed with the professionalism and thoroughness of the work he did and very appreciative of the way he interacted with us. His professionalism is a credit to Precision Garage Doors as an employer and its responsibility to the consumer.

Chris Bernard and Alex were professional, knowledgeable and genuinely nice. They listened to my concerns and checked out the garage door. technician came out because door was off track and stated we could spend 300 approx for the cheap fix or 1300 of a good fix and it would be good for at least a year. I asked about a new door he state 7-8 weeks to order. I took the 1300 option because 8 weeks was along time with no access to garage. less than a month later after being out town for 2 weeks garage door was again off track. called the office spend another 110 dollars and the technician said door should not have been fixed but replaced. spoke to office manager who was to send me quote for new door with credit for service done. still waiting on that estimate. I guess they just want to charge for work that they know isn't fixing the problem and then get you again saying off track because of other issues. please stay away from this company

Wow. What a great experience. I was heading to work when my wife called and told me the garage door would not open. I returned home and discovered the spring had snapped. As this was an unanticipated event and considering that my wife had to go to work, I then conducted a Google search and came across a plethora of companies with good to great reviews. I was originally going to go with one company, but I had an odd feeling about them. I then decided to call Precision Garage Door Service, and it was the best decision I could have made. After calling and scheduling the service (around 8:05 AM), I then received an email/text and voicemail that Chris Bernard would be arriving at a specific time, and I was quite amazed that he arrived at the exact time indicated in the voicemail/text communication. Mr. Bernard approached me, smiled, and introduced himself. After entering the garage and conducting his inspection, Mr. Bernard was able to point out all of his observations, obviously including the original reason for the service call. Mr. Bernard recognized this as an unanticipated expense, and instead of attempting to manipulate my decision, he politely and empathetically laid things out for me and allowed me to make an informed decision without feeling compelled. Mr. Bernard additionally showed me his inspection observations, allowing me to visually see his concerns. Mr. Chris Bernard was a true, true professional. He was empathetic and understanding, polite, and service oriented. In addition to these attributes, Mr. Bernard was very methodical and diligent with his work. He made sure that he completed each task properly and he studiously and carefully inspected his work, recognizing that a failure to do so could have future ramifications. It was clear, through my first interaction and in watching him operate, that Mr. Bernard takes great pride in his work and has a great work ethic. As someone who has had a great deal of work done on his property over the last five years, I wish I could bottle up Mr. Bernard's strong work conduct/professionalism and apply it to all professionals. Great job Precision Garage Door Service. Although I pray I will never encounter this situation again, you have earned my business in the future. Well, the installer did a very good job and happened to come from the same section of Brooklyn where I grew up. I am not pleased with the company. They gave me an idea of about $250 for the work to be done. When the man came and looked everything over he gave me three options starting at over $800 all the way up to $1900. This was just to replace a coil spring that was broken on one door. I have had another estimate of $365 from a company that has done work before on my door. That being the case, I am confident that that would be approximately what the job would have caused. If I had not had precision do the work, I would’ve had to pay $89 service call. As it turned out, they were able to do the job for $454 which was still 100 more than it would have costed me elsewhere. I don’t like the bait and switch . I would not recommend this company to anyone.
