I heard about Precision over the years on Monday and Sally; the guy came to our house and did something I did not think possible, he made my garage door quiet!! That was two years ago. Over the weekend all of my remotes quit working and I called ant the had the guy out to my house in just a little over an hour and he had them fixed within about 5 minutes. What fantastic service. I called Precision b/c I've heard Mo & Sally on Kool 105.5 talk about Precision Garage Door. I was pleased that an actual person answered the phone and was able to schedule an appointment for service so quickly (non-emergency call). I was given a 2 hour window from 4-6pm and David Hoffa called me just before 4:00 to let me know his eta would be 4:25 and he was right on time!!! And just like the commercial says, he showed up in PGD uniform. He educated me on different parts that would be needed and a safer system other than the spring/cable system I currently have. Although I was not expecting to purchase a new door I decided to upgrade to new hurricane rated door, this will save me money on my wind/hazard insurance. It was not a high pressure sales pitch. I'm a realtor and property manager and will definitely use them on future projects.

Door intermittently going down and then retracting. Technician performed several troubleshooting techniques and changed the rollers and checked other areas that could cause the door not to fully close. Technician claims the defect was the logic board. He charged me over $600 and suggested I contact the manufacturer of the garage door opener and request a new board. He charged my Platinum AmEx over $600 and told me to contact him after I receive the board… really? Poor customer service!!!

Service person was very polite and did try to do all I asked for. She did set up a new hand held garage door opener but could not set up the control in my car nor myQ for my phone. It cost me $95 for the remote and $25 "gas charge". When I asked the attendant who scheduled the appointment what the cost would be she said the service person would let me know. Surely she knew about the $25 gas charge.

My service call could not have been better. I am not the ideal customer, only owning a home with a garage for less than three years and being tech challenged. The young lady that took by call was polite, knowledgeable, and showed a sense of urgency for my need of a same day appointment to fix my door that was stuck in the open position with a broken cable. I called for service at 8:00 am and had a service person at my door at 10 am - amazing. The service person, Michael, recognized and diagnosed the problem immediately, also noticed several other impending safety concerns that needed to be addressed and he could fix while at the house if I wanted and quoted the cost before starting the work. He clearly knew what needed to be done, took time to show me where the problem areas were and then worked quickly and efficiently to replace the broken parts and repair the door, cleaning up after he was finished. No question about who we will call if there is a next time or who we will recommend to our friends and neighbors.
