I thought I had found a professional organization that would charge fairly for work performed. Unfortunately, that was not the case and I had to eat the $90 show-up charge (and now I know why they charge that). I had a broken torsion spring and the price quoted to replace both springs was on the high side, but acceptable under the circumstances. But the attempted upsell to replace other components were priced as if each was the only thing they came out to do. Even though the springs were off and the unit was dismantled (no tension on any parts), they wanted over $300 to replace the bearing plates ($20 worth of parts and a dozen bolts), and $380 to replace the cables and drums (another $20 of parts and four bolts). That's when the bell went off and I went with a smaller independent repairman .

Arrived right on time. Very professional diagnostic evaluation of my original 1996 garage door. The spring its second broke and prompted my call. As a result of showing me all the wear and tear, i.e. friction and three options I chose the middle one cost wise, replacing the spring, rollers, cable and bearings. The entire door having to be recalibrated for the garage door opener for each done separately this was the most cost effecient with the greatest peace of mind as my car and garbage were trapped inside the garage! I would highly recommend Jeff Brown!

I was extremely happy with the installation. The 2 men who came ( Merrill & Nate) were very professional and extremely nice. They cleaned up after they were through and showed me everything to do as far as servicing the door. I was very happy with everything. I would give it 5 stars except for the time it took to get the door. I was told 1 week but could go to 2 if busy. It took 4. I would certainly do business with your company again. Our garage door opener broke on a Sunday, but we were able to contact Precision Door Service that same day and schedule a visit for the following Monday. We were certain we would need to replace the entire opener. Jeremy, our technician, arrived as scheduled, evaluated the problem, recommended a course of action and then did the necessary repairs. We did not need a new opener, but simply a replacement of some parts which should have been changed when the door was installed. So we were pleasantly surprised at the resolution. Can't say enough for both the company and for Jeremy. I know if I encounter any problem in the future, who I most certainly will call. Jeremy is a credit to Precision as well. Great experience - will not hesitate to recommend to anyone needing service.
